#46 Lachlan Blakiston

A 26 year ruckman from East Fremantle. We just had to take a ruck. He finds plenty of the ball at WAFL level. Hoping he takes game time away from Goldstein rather than Vigo.

in the 15s clip they showed on afl coverage, is a bit in the mould of the de konings, all limbs and everyone everywhere

At 26, if he is any good, there is still the potential for a good 5-6 years on the list. Great for us if Drapes does decide to up anchor and move back to SA.

Back to full forward for Vigo then.

Sensible pick. Goldstein is gone at the end of the year, plus we have two injured ruckman returning next year. Blakiston is a good, mature ruck whilst Vigo develops.

Blakistan and Vigo should be rotating into the AFL.

We may try and play 2 rucks as we were earlier in the season.

Goldie/Blakistan with Vigo in the VFL. Then Goldie/Vigo with blakistan in the VFL.

If Goldie doesnt play AFL he won’t be playing VFL so they’d each be number 1 ruck at whichever level they are chosen.

Just so he can say that he’s “playing the kids”

Basically a nino pick

Great selection - love to see him debut soon

Not to mention that both injuries are potentially significantly career-altering.

Astute pick, imo.
