#46 Lachlan Blakiston

I’d keep him around for another year or two.

He’s cheap depth for a couple of positions.

Yep. Goldy retires and we keep him as a backup ruck/defender. Makes sense

it looks and is awkward, but it’s quite effective

seen worse actions for a lot less return

Did you see all of his other, double handed, awkward high tumbling kicks?

He can kick

He did ok tonite

I thought he was allright and looked like he went allright in the ruck. Id play him ahead of goldy.

He was okay. But, Richmond had no key forward.

Needs to clean up the brainfades that directly lead to goals

Had quite a few good moments.
But has very low footy IQ.

Probably our better kick for the night…

I always wondered what was the point of him given our KPB depth and how clearly fish out of water he was, not to mention his age.

He still gets nowhere near our best side vs McKay Reid Hayes Ridley (I know you’ll say don’t play McKay but…).

But tonight was impressive and I’d say he has ended Lavs career. I’d give him 12 mths especially if he can ruck.

EDIT: Doubly so if he can replace Lav and Goldy in 1 and free up a list spot.

I still hate his kicking technique.

The opposition read his kicks too easily but compared to some he’s not our worst and has showed signs each game. I’d give him a year as the VFL ruck or back up KPD.

Shock horror a guy playing his 4th game in the disaster that is Essington after being plucked basically out of obscurity makes a few errors!

I know, I know. But he’s made some howlers most footy players should know are no no’s. There’s something there and wasn’t anywhere near our worst so its a small nitpick

At this stage we should be comfortable putting those down to “in Div 3 ammos I got away with that”.
If in 50 games time they’re still happening (or haven’t improved substantially) that’s a different story.
