#5 - Elijah Tsatas (Part 2: Omitted)

Pou is massively overrated imo, hasn’t really shown much to my eye

Seen him kick some big goals from outside 50 in his first year, been battling injury since I think.

Humphrey is the miss.

He’s had 1 good month, his end to 2024 was good, other than that he’s been average.

Having said that, his good games are good and he should be able to recreate that in the future.

I can’t possibly know this for certain but I’m fairly sure if Rosa was in charge in that draft he’d have taken Humphrey.

Yeah even that one good month was nothing crazy iirc, this narrative that he’s some sort of franchise saver is a bit much for me but anyway I guess we all have hope for our draftees. Now you wanna talk about stars on the Saints get behind Nasiah

Still doesn’t excuse the blind kick out of congestion unless that is a coaching directive too.

Is this your interpretation or did you see the whole “drill” and how it was set up?

No, I was just commenting on what it would be attempting to achieve.

This is going into grassy knoll territory……..

I think if Nino was in charge of that draft, he’d have taken Humphrey.

I’d say hence why they are working on the run with role to round out his game.

I can’t be bothered going back and looking at the stats for the vfl but if my memory serves toward the end of the year his tackles numbers went way up so that area is on the improve aswell

I got the feeling in the sponsor meeting that Rosa doesn’t rate him but that’s purely on feel about how little he spoke on him.

But again what do I know in the same meeting he also spoke glowingly of smartt and his equestrian abilities.

If that was in fact the case then fair to say he failed the drill since he was in red and Duursma was in black.

I stand by my initial comment that slamming it on his boot won’t cut it at AFL so hopefully this is a one off.

Except the grassy knoll potentially held a second kicker/shooter. We’re drowning in speculation from 1 kick - in a drill no one witnessed or understands… :person_shrugging:

1 kick.

1 potentially (likely) poor kick from a guy not known for his kicking.

Wow.

Stick your boots in.

About as insightful as watching the video of Tsatas in the offseason with that external coaching group. You know the one… where under no pressure he nails a bunch of kicks from a ball collect… which equally means f’all.

It would be extremely naive and probably foolish to think that the coach did not have a say in that draft selection

he has a say for sure but did he overrule? i dont think so

our captain does it multiple times every week

Sadly true. And whilst I think he’s a better small defender than midfielder, it’s this bad attribute alone that makes me happy to consider him doing minutes in the midfield, because the repeated half back turnovers kill us.

He didn’t say that he didn’t have a say in it.

And if you are eluding that he did overrule on the call, what evidence is there of that?
