One of the VFL commentators was running with him not being good enough to get into the AFL side in the midfield, so should be tried across halfback because his kicking looks solid.

So be it. Give it to him straight and see what he does, like you would with any player. But remains true that some senior players are dogshit week after week and dont get held to the same standards.

straight swap for one of setterfield, parish, caldwell. or all of them.

Plenty of options regarding players to drop who did not perform.

In any other club he’d be dropped for defensive efforts.
Problem here is he is held to a different standard.

Solomon is just Scott in disguise. It’s ok for others to not put in effort but Tsatas cops it.
Maybe Parish and co have clauses that they must play when fit? Only logical explanation for them being picked

Had more tackles then anyone in the AFL team along with 28 touches and a goal yet it still won’t be enough to get a gig.
And then you have blokes like Caldwell parish and setterfeild just plodding around with no chance of being dropped

Nope, he needs to go along with those mentioned.
We need some more speed and skill in the midfield. Tsatas is very limited as a player and will not make it.

Robey and Durham will be midfield locks for years. Both are strong, contested types. Sharp probably too. Caldwell will find form again, i hope. Parish has 3 more years, the only hope we have with him is a salary dump for pick 60 or pay 3/4 of his wage for a second round pick
The midfield should be built around Durham & Robey. The rest, whoever. But adding Tsatas as that third starting mid is just too slow. Its never been about how mamy times he gets the ball, ever. His disposal, tank, 2 way running, defensive work is of such a low standard and thats why he’s never picked.We’ve drafted someone who would have suited 90’s footy 30 years too late
Elijah can’t play anywhere but the middle. I cant believe the club haven’t even considered or tried him in another role after drafting robey & sharp. You knew then for sure he was hardly going to play seniors
Throw him down back as a lockdown defender. Try something. If he’s ever going to be a midfielder it wont be with us. It’s last chance saloon stuff, try something before you delist him

One thing that was bleeding obvious from yesterday in the midfield, was that apart from Durham we are slow. As promising as they are, Robey and Sharp aren’t quick either. The Saints just motored away from us. Parish and Caldwell are plodders too. We need to draft some power and speed from a club with a surplus of quality midfielders. I hear there’s a handy player up north possibly keen to leave, who would move the needle for us overnight.
Would love for that to be the case but given our track record with senior players I highly doubt it
