The jury is not out on explosive Oakleigh Chargers midfielder Elijah Tsatas, who has continued a dazzling start to the NAB League season which has put him in the frame to be a top-five draft pick at the end of the year.
Tsatas, who aims to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Chris and study law at Deakin University, is giving recruiters increasing evidence of his abilities with bumper games over the past two weeks.
After logging 36 disposals and nine clearances against Northern Knights in Round 2 of the NAB League, Tsatas recorded a massive 42 disposals, 12 marks, 11 inside-50s, six clearances and 12 score involvements against Eastern Ranges last Saturday.
The weekendâs numbers saw Tsatas record a game-high 166 KFC SuperCoach ranking points, with his average ranking points across the first three rounds now sitting at 141 points.
Originally from Surrey Park Junior Football Club, Tsatas comes from an athletics background and has competed at national level in the 400m and 100m hurdles in the past.

He is a Richmond supporter but looks up to Greater Western Sydney midfielder Josh Kelly.
âHeâs obviously a jet player on the outside using his foot skills as well so thatâs my sort of role,â Tsatas told News Corp recently.
âIâm usually an outside midfielder, whether that be wing or outside in the midfield a little bit too. I like to use my speed and my kicking ability to break the game open and I think my decision makingâs also a strength.â
Brisbane Lions father-son prospect Will Ashcroft had another bumper game for Sandringham Dragons on the weekend, with the midfielder recording 36 disposals, 12 clearances and two goals for a total of 162 ranking points against Greater Western Sydneyâs Academy team.

Another famous name to make his presence felt over the weekend was Alwyn Davey Jr, who is a father-son option for Essendon this year.
Daveyâs father, Alwyn Davey Snr, played 100 games for the Bombers before being delisted at the end of 2013.
The younger Davey is a skilful outside midfielder or forward who is 181cm tall and had 19 disposals, five inside-50s, 10 score involvements and kicked one goal for Oakleigh Chargers on Saturday.
The haul saw Davey rack up 135 ranking points.

Basically 5 of 6 guys who hated/hate hitting bodies and the one guy who did actually enjoy that side of things was as plain as home brand oats. Cheers Adrian.

Loves using his speed on the wing and is an outside midfielder. We havenât seen this at all. And he was a 400 metre hurdler or runner. Wow
And the year before that we got Reid, Cox and Perkins.
And the year before that we got Jones and Bryan.
And the year before that we got Irving Mosquito.
And the year before that we got Guelfi and Zerk-Thatcher.
And the year before that we got Mcgrath and Ridley.
Might be the most disastrous 7 years of drafting the league has ever seen.

I disagree with Robey, for his height he is quick, Iâd say heâs actually just quick. One of the few that wasnât getting burnt for speed by the Stkilda mids. Most players slow down a bit as they get older and put on muscle, hopefully Robey maintains his speed.

Keep looking the other way Solomon and fellow coaches. Keep backing Parish, Caldwell, Merrett, Setterfield and every other midfielder with no future at the club.
Elijah running on top of the ground in another great display. Anyone that thinks he has stamina issues needs to watch his VFL game today.
Great to watch someone that cares about his footy. Iâll leave the sorry bunch in the firsts for the rest of you to enjoy.

Setterfield had a better game than Tsatas.
Took more marks, laid more tackles, had more clearances and kicked a goal (1.1).
Iâm all for supporting Tsatas but using Setterfield as the attack point was probably a bad choice.

Good game in the twos and someone will pick him up next year. We will get a packet of stale chips for him and I guess we will find out in a few years time itâs going to bite us

Had less touches and less disposal efficiency, but concentrate on what you want to see.
Bottom line is a near 30 year old should not be getting games over a 21 year old when they are performing at a comparable standard, unless youâre shooting for a premiership, which of course Essendon isnât.
