#5 Elijah Tsatas (Part 2)

All the best at your new club Elijah, I hope he absolutely dominates us when we play his new team

13 mins as the sub and then doesn’t play VFL and then dropped

Great development

All the best, Elijah.

I’m surprised nobody in the media hasn’t questioned Brad’s use of him given he is a high draft pick (regardless of what I think of the decision to take him at Pick 5). I would be all over it.

  • What is your plan with Elijah Tsatas?
  • Why do you continually start him as the sub when he’s not had an impact in that role?
  • He’s been dropped again. Do you see him as a long-term player at the club?

Lol

Hard questions need to be asked by the media regarding this.

It’s a good point. The media are bizarrely soft on Brad. Mates in high places I guess.

Yeah it’s bizarre.

we wont even let the kid play vfl on Sunday.

Will be held over as the emergency.

If he is at the vfl on Sunday I might ask him myself

No offence to other kids like ADW or Johnson who are good to see getting chances, but if only Elijah was afforded the same chance.

ADW based on exposed form
Should not be playing ahead of tsatas

Once Scott gets a set on a player they are gone, Voss, D’ Ambrosio and now Tsatas. Looks like the coach is greater than the Club.

There HAS to be more going on behind the scenes. Maybe there’s a lesson they’re trying to teach Tsatas here.

That is hilarious!

How is this different from any other coach. Sheedy was the same. There are always reasons coaches don’t like the way individuals play.

Agree. Have my doubts on him, but also want to see him get a decent run at it.

And given the media are asking absolutely nothing about it, can we assume they know and there is an agreement not to go there!

Amazing, post of the thread

Disappointed not to see him named but can’t say I’m overly surprised.

Names like Perkins, Guelfi, Johnson, ADW (likely sub) etc can all play multiple positions.

Tsatas can only play on-ball (at this stage), which is where we currently have the most depth & are also doing pretty well in terms of what he’ll bring to the side - clearances & an ability to find the footy.

Thing is, Parish is also a one-position player with similar strengths to Tsatas, but obviously has more credits in the bank.

Personally, I’d have dropped ADW and made Perkins/Hobbs sub this week to squeeze both Tsatas & Parish in, and play Merrett or Durham more forward.

As long as I select Phillipou in my supercoach team he’ll take 10 years to rack up 25 crp games

I’m prepared to take that SC scoring for the benefit of the forum.
