#5 Elijah Tsatas (Part 2)

He started in a midfield with Shiel and Parish who have 12 preseasons and 7 preseasons on him respectively, and was comfortably our best.

I know some on here love to see Essendon lose to feed their trauma addiction, but, that’s gotta give you something to smile about.

I’d actually welcome that. Get his trade value up and sell him whilst his stock is high.

Unfortunately I missed the game, I was hoping to see it and watch Tsatas closely. Good the gear he was impactful. Hopefully this is something that keeps developing.

Did you just inadvertently just tell us why you missed the game?

I only saw the first quarter and thought he was pretty poor in it so it’s good to hear he turned it around.

Would love a highlight package.

Very good :joy:

Club should develop his left, might come more naturally to him and no ingrained bad technique

VFL players get rewarded for good form, ET is overdue for a senior call up.

The reason he looked flat in his afl game was that he had only played one game in five weeks.
The Adelaide game showed what he can do at afl level

I’ve always thought he looks heavy in the legs at afl level, nor sure why it is he looks bugerred really quickly. At vfl level not so much he looks on his toes.

Interested to see how we manage our midfield for the second half of the season with Parish having a successful vfl return and likely only a week away, Tsatas having another bog performance & showing improvement in kicking efficiency + running capacity at vfl level.

Setterfield likely comes out for Parish with Caldwell/Durham taking more defensive roles.

If Tsatas is ready, at least for a chance to show what he can do in the AFL for a bloc of games, I would put Merrett and into high half forward/mid role to make some room.

Parish, Caldwell, Durham, Tsatas
With Merrett & Martin rotating through.
Play Perkins perma forward in Langford role.
