#5 Elijah Tsatas (Part 2)

This football club will deeply regret it when he is playing elsewhere next year. A fark up of the greatest proportions.

After tonight, if Shiel is in the seniors again this year these idiots have no farking idea.

I just don’t know what he brings to the team that we don’t have already and is done better by others.

Remember Brad saying this -
ā€œThe work that Elijah Tsatas puts into his program, over and above what is baseline standard for an AFL player, that is now celebrated not ridiculed,ā€ Scott told The Age.

A few things that are off colour -

  1. Why isn’t he ā€œcelebratingā€ the attitude with AFL games - surely that’s how you reinforce standards?
  2. ā€œTold the Ageā€ - surely it’s ā€œtold this mastheadā€?

Elite level clearance and contested possession

I don’t know about elite. He was matched up on Sonsie and Prestia and I feel like they hurt us more than Tsatas did

Please bring this young greek god into the side, it’s almost the only thing I care about

Because he’s not an AFL standard midfielder.

Can we get his running breakdowns from VFL?

He is rated elite with clearances averaging 7 in the afl and would be more in the vfl.

Well , he’s got no chance to prove otherwise, has he ?

Would be funny if Scott eventually picks him, he starts to dominate in the seniors and still requests a trade. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Pretty impressive to get so many contested possessions (16) and still go at over 80% DE.
Looked to be running on top of the ground too which was nice.
Great game overall

One of his biggest problems is he isn’t of the lads.

Anyone would think Tsatas is trying to get into the Brisbane or Collingwood teams. Have a look at us, dysfunctional and coasting along with a percentage of 85 like last year. Who are the selectors kidding??

How would you know - doesn’t get picked to play AFL to find out.

I think this is probably gonna be right unfortunately, especially given it’s an interstate game. ADW was held over so likely comes in for Langford, Hobbs to start, someone from the VFL on the shorter break as sub.

I’ve been a tsatas skeptic but he looked elite tonight imo. For some reason at vfl level he looks energetic, at afl level he looks flat with heavy legs.

His hands, vision and pick ups off the ground were superb and other than one pillow at the start, his kicking was decent on a really windy night.

We’ve gotta give him a decent string of games in a row, reward his hard work, you know brad, selection integrity ffs!
