#5 Elijah Tsatas (Part 2)

Agree Tsatas development has been poor. Should never be sub, he plays vfl or afl in position. Pretty simple I would have thought.

It’s all conjecture anyway; because unless something changes dramatically, I can’t see him being at the club next year.

He did chop Firrito

Yep very entitled to your view and to believe whatever it is you want.

Should I even bother listening to his spin?

Geez I thought we had early news of a Tsatas dropping or something

I’m confused by this. Isn’t the GM role in Australia the CEO, i.e. Vozzo? He wasn’t in charge when we got Scott.

If you mean Scott, the very aim of saying an ā€˜experienced’ coach was silly. It automatically limited the pool to pretty much Scott, Lyon or Hird. Scott probably the best of that lot. With most ā€˜experienced’ coaches being failures, retired, or at clubs and unwilling to switch, it was a stupid requirement. We all know it pretty much was designed to justify Scott, which is why the club tried to walk it back so quickly.

They wanted Scott. They got him. And many of us have questioned that from the start.

And to continue on from this I hope like hell Hobbs will be given a rest with Lij remaining in the team but the odds seem drastically low… Surely not sub again if he remains in, dear god

He didn’t have to spin it because he didn’t talk about it .
Just said that parish has been preforming very well at vfl level so he is in this week.
Which in my opinion parish was very poor in the last vfl game

Haha just saw it. I’m a parish fan but he was not good last week, but Brad sets the narrative.

I don’t see it with Tsatas. But the development has been appalling. In and out, limited time, etc.

Yes, i honestly do.

His kicking needs work(it’s nowhere near as bad as people make out), but he is trying everything to improve his weaknesses. I wish a lot more of our players had the internal drive to improve themselves.

He might make it, or he might not.

The biggest problem i have by far, is Brad has never given him a fair go.

So not only has he cut the kid off at the knees in his development, he has completely killed any trade currency he might have

There is no doubt in my mind, that if he goes to another club. He will get games and become a good/very good player

I think Parish see’s the VFL as below him, will never put in 100%

Of course he is. So convenient his main competitor for the spot (Tsatas) didn’t get to play VFL and show which one was playing better…

There’s no doubt parish’s first game was pretty good on par with Tsatas game that night.
But if we are being serious about rewarding vfl preformance which Brad is making out to do, parish hasn’t been better and his last game was very average only had 21 touches and four clearances

He’s shown a lot more than Hobbs. Constantly bog or near to in the VFL. Was first choice midfielder in the preseason games and scratch matches. He hasn’t been developed ā€œdefensively at allā€ and that appears to be the issue now

In any case, he’s shown what he can do at VFL and those supporting him only want to see him get a decent go at it at AFL level so we can work out if he’s up to it……

We do not know what instructions Parish was given in the VFL game, we dont know how they go at training .

But yes, the VFL is below him at his best.

Looking at our interchange bench for Sunday’s game, i can’t see Tsatas getting a game unfortunately.

Edit - maybe ADW makes way for Parish. But then we would have too many midfielders.

Hell, I’d even just be happy with him playing a role (defensive mid, half-forward etc) in the VFL that addresses some of the weakness and concerns some in this thread have.
