Diggers was called a sook, sad and it was implied he was immature because he switched teams.
I said that if anything that’s more mature than what the rest of us have done, which is stay supporting the team only to sook online about it every week.
I then said it’s not “mature” to stay supporting something that makes you unhappy, and that mental health and well being are more important than an internet ■■■■■■■ contest about who is the biggest fan.
From that, you’ve somehow got I said it’s “wrong for people to be upset”.
I’m saying it’s not wrong and that if it does make you upset it’s better to prioritise your own health.

So keep Joe next year to his contract, is he the sort that would give his all for the club or be all sooky la la and not give his all is the question?
So we give him his wish get minimum pick 5 and another pick? Lucky to get 9 imo…more likely second round or a player. Or take our chance and get pick 10 as compo next year with the chance he might stay on.
This is the reality we are faced with.
I’d let him go and groom another player this season. However I’m not in the know of Joe and his mindset about Essendon, he clearly wants out so why would he change his mindset in another 12 months if it’s lifestyle?
Hence to get maximum value now for him and groom another player

I’m not sure what kids have to do with it, as that’s not an option. You make that choice before having the kids.
I also think parralells between marriage and children and the Essendon Football Club are highly unhealthy, but I’ll indulge over lunch.
Relationships, 100% yes. Think I’m staying in a relationship for 15 years when it makes me miserable? Absolutely the ■■■■ not. I mean this with ANY relationship; partner, family, friends. Same as work, same as hobbies, same as everything.
The insinuation that staying is the thing that builds character and not leaving is wrong. Leaving builds character.
