I know GWS have a huge advantage with the amount of draft concessions and academy players they have had over the years but Caldwell and Hately is a good example of the disadvantages they have had also.
They have two young kids that they rate extremely high but cant give them the game time and role that is required to develop them properly so they leave.
It would be difficult to build a winning culture when you have a revolving door of quality players coming in and out.
A champion team will always beat a team of champions.
They have always drafted a lot of inside mids though. are they just going best available all the time and they happen to be these types or are they deliberately drafting this way and happy to keep losing them for trade currency?
As that guy explained in the video they do like certain types of mids and in particular ones that can play multiple roles. Whether that be inside, outside forward or back. If your side is going to have ten midfielders in it then itâs integral that they are adaptable. Thatâs the huge advantage of getting access to the top end of the draft each year. The players seem to have far fewer flaws.
Hey, stop picking on the Murdoch rags.
They did manage to helpfully inform us that Bendigo is close to Tullamarine.*

âcloseâ is a subjective term that may or may not be true.
Losing them, I believe, is more due to their extreme depth in midfielders, and genuine A graders in front of them who are still mid-20s. They really need to focus on KPPs and their ruck stocks, itâs ridiculous that Mumford is still on their list and likely to get games next year.
