Didn’t the club only 2 days ago come out and say he’s doing well and the trip to Ireland is just the next step in his recovery?

Surely they weren’t lying to us…SURELY!!!

Tom Browne is hardly a truth teller

Negativity drives click bait/ talk back radio etc

Certainly concerns for JD for sure but which is it… progressing well and about to ramp up to next phase? Or no progress at all?

One lot of info came from inside the club. The other not so.

Essendon is happy with the full-forward’s progress in recent months but wants the star father-son to check back in with his specialist before stepping up his training workload.

Essendon football manager Dan Richardson said the club was taking all steps to ensure Daniher was completely over his groin problems before he returns to playing.

“When he came back in the past he thought he was right but probably what happens with the demands of the game, the (groin) condition returned,” Richardson told the Herald Sun .

“The aim of all this is to — and there are no guarantees — set his body up to withstand it all.

“He is feeling pretty good, we just want to make sure that when he does return to play — and we don’t have any time frame on it yet — he can withstand the rigours of what is a really taxing game.”

Essendon hasn’t put a time frame on Joe Daniher’s return from injury.

Richardson said the club was hopeful Daniher, 26, could progress to the next phase of his rehab after the Ireland visit.

He was adamant “there has been no setback” to prompt the trip.

“He had a week over there before Christmas and he has been in regular contact and it is sort of just the progression to the next stage of that program,” he said.

“It’s a fairly intensive program around the strength and power development.

“So rather than do it all over the phone or on Skype we thought we would take the opportunity to get him over there to talk in person.”

Sometimes they get it wrong

Considering where Joe is at, id suggest He is right.

Probably, but it’s pretty easy fodder with no real new content. Browne’s a bit of sycophant.

I’ve never seen sycophant used as that sort of euphemism before.

If anyone really wants to kill some time the Irish Dr has a podcast, he specialises in management/rehab of groin pain by adjusting the athlete’s bio mechanics.

So either this was always part of his rehab post surgery or he’s got ongoing pain that the surgery didn’t treat which they’re now trying to treat by basically changing the way he runs.

The bloke must have a source at Essendon stuck with “Stringer to Essendon” all the way through also broke the news of “Ryder to Port”

He gets direct info from Connors Sports, who manages both Stringer and Ryder IIRC

Ahhh

speaking of string when is he out of contract? I get nervous when it comes to re-signing players who are his clients.

People listening to Tom Browne and Cameron Mooney? ■■■■ me ■■■■■■■ dead!

The website should automatically ban this rather than the odd ■■■■■■■ swear word.

To fill in the time between Daniher’s return one can but speculate how his recovery will play out and what the risks are of his OP reoccurring. So just thinking out loud and prompt discussion, I wonder if he/the club should consider whether he needs to reinvent himself and plays a less physically demanding game to minimise the risk of his OP reoccurring? This is assuming the level of activity and wear and tear from how he typically plays/trains can promote his OP.

So, no rucking or playing the highly mobile role.

Instead he plays a more stay at home forward - sticks to a 40m arc of the goal square as a marking target. This may mean he will have a greater chance of playing over a number of years, rather than roll the dice of playing his natural game and the risk of breaking down.

My god, some of you people are gullible and determined to make the rest of us suffer for you listening to cockwombles who wouldn’t know facts from a hole in the ground.

Browne might be a fckwit but if true that the surgery hasn’t worked and Joe still struggling then it is a concern.

Longest word in the English language…IF!!!
