#7 Zerrett - could double his Crichton/Trevor Barkers by 2027

I agree to an extent but the game against Gold Coast was there for someone to stand up and win it for us. That’s when the champions shine, Merritt isn’t at that level.

Will be 30 next year.

Get out while you still can Zach. Even if you don’t make a Grand Final, at least play in a few winning finals and make a deep run once or twice.

We need the leadership of cooler heads down back. We need better ball users there, too.
We need to give more opportunity to Hobbs and Tsatas in the guts.

Merrett to the back flank next year?

Should be the captain

He’ll be lucky to even make the team in the end with how he dropped off in the final third of the season once tagged every week. Probably still makes it in though, he’s well regarded by those in the media. But he won’t be captain.

His teammates killed any chance of that happening

He’ll probbaly get snubbed for some one who’s had an average year

Delaying their end of season trip, so they can watch opposition clubs in finals…. Sounds like action to me.

In past years, the players couldn’t get out of Melbourne quick enough.

Well done to Zac, for making this happen.

I like your optimism.

That’s what I’m known for

I recall Sheedy making the making the players watch Carlton at training after we bowed out of the finals in '81 and/or '82.

He also made the players attend the 1999 Grand Final.
