#7 Zerrett - could double his Crichton/Trevor Barkers by 2027

Just wait for the outrage when Langford is in the stands in his Bulldogs scarf.

Depends who is attending I suppose.

Made them watch the 99 GF too

Could backfire. They’ll get a first hand look at Massimo enjoying finals and they’ll all request trades.

Worked wonders last year when our players went to the GWS v Saints final.

Heard it all before

Just waiting for another article that some of our players are paying for their own pre season training camp in Somalia to gain an “edge” on their opponents

It’s more about the motivation of the players tbh.

Sometimes watching these games is more of a wake up call to some players who are just cruising, and they find out abour how far off it they are.

In previous years, the players were on the next flight to Hawaii, once the final round finish ends.

They attended an elimination final last year, it counts for absolutely nothing

Can’t believe fans get sucked in and actually think that this will be that “wake up call” they might as well head to Ibiza now

After this news, I’m willing to call us back baby! 2025 will be glorious.

For me, if nothing else it’s an opportunity for players to be together, watching what they aspire to be and using this as a chance to discuss their situation and hopefully strengthen resolve and connection to the aligned goals… A chance to look at the growth needed and how their own games need to be elevated. I don’t see how it can be anything other than a positive move.

People will react accordingly to their views but I think most people would think this is a fair nothingburger

It wouldn’t matter what they do they would be criticised. Even taking a dump would be a sign they have no mental strength to hold it in longer….

Seriously though, I don’t know how it can be seen as a negative. And media clicks Tom Morris does the cheeky tweet to spark the rage on Twitter. Abd they wonder why we don’t like them!

It’s not about this year or next.

It’s about having the right foundations. It’s about players being committed to improving.

Does attending a match, mean that things will change? Of course it doesn’t.

But it’s about doing all the little things consistently.

Nobody drops weight from going for a run around the block one morning. It’s a whole heap of disciplines done consistently over a long period of time.

Well it kinda is, we hear the same bullshit year in and year out yet the results speak for themselves

Can’t wait for Andy to speak to the media after one of many floggings that it’s not acceptable and we’re committed to improving.

This is where I’ve been going wrong then…

I agree with you to a certain degree. Actions speak louder than words for sure. But I’d rather hear that they’re watching finals (e.g. watch Geelong last night tear Port apart) as opposed to planning their holidays at a 20/20 resort in Spain!

I’m as pessimistic about this club as anyone.

But when I see something I like, I will say it.

A month ago, i said that the last thing I want to see is the players flying off on their trip as soon as the season finishes. I wanted to see them watching finals matches.

They’re doing that. I’m glad.

I got a lot out of watching Geelong last night, I hope the players got the same.

Maybe it goes to show that this type of stuff isn’t actually important.
