I wish we would stop taking him out of the middle when he is dominating games.
There was absolutely no reason for Stringer to be plonked in the middle when Hobbs and Merrett were all over them. It was honestly poor coaching.
As soon as we put him back in the middle we started scoring again. He is going to be an absolute gun for us and 100% will captain the club in the future.

Watching Hobbs play for us is like finally burying that jealousy I’d feel when we’d get murdered by an absolute animal playing for the opposition. He will be perfect to take over the captaincy from Merrett. You need your leaders to hate losing as much as these guys.

Tough as nails with football smarts. More experience will allow him more time with his decision making and his skills should go up a level. He’ll be an out and out gun in the not too distant future.

I watched him in the warm up and he’s aggressive in those drills as well, thought he was gonna kill his own team mates at one point.

Did he go quiet or did they move him fwd? I thought he was good in the first and last quarters.
He came off after a tough contest but was then moved forward which annoyed the fuark out of me.
He is an absolute animal in the contest

He is such a unit.
He’s like the player Selwood may have become if he wasn’t a ducking cheat.
You know, genuinely tough for the sake of winning the contest and getting it out to a teammate, as opposed to drawing crap frees.
Hobbs makes Selwood look like a stick of rich, creamery butter.
With a bandage on it for photo ops.

The commentators kept going on and on about Wardlaw. Screaming “Wardlaw picks up the ball” in a super excited voice. Split second late Hobbs smashes him in a tackle and dead silence.
