Fearless attack on the ball and body of opposition players. To paraphrase Captain Sensible, “That is why you’ll always find him at the bottom of packs at parties.” He is already making his presence felt on the ground and one of the best performed from his draft. He was a steal at pick #13.

Constantly putting his head over the ball and diving in to win a contested possession.
Merrett has previously spoken about how driven Hobbs is to improve. The opportunity for extended midfield time would be great for him.

I read in that Around The Grounds thing yesterday on the AFL website that he had 24 disposals and kicked 2 goals in the SANFL. Up until that game it’d been pretty unremarkable stuff from him to date, at least statistically.
