Yeah right - trade away our one mid with the pace to worry GWSās one-paced midfield. And replace him with a one paced midfielder so they can beat us on the spread as well as the inside.

That was because Stringer was a contested beast last year. Our problem is that we have not been able to get our best players on the park and playing well at the same time for 20 years.

Dylan Shiel is a very good player and he provides us with something at stoppages that we severely lack, an ability to hit the ball at top speed and explode away from congestion.
As long as we have a balance to our midfield and always have a guy at stoppages who is a defend first player (i.e. Caldwell role) then we allow Shiel to play to his strengths while not being routinely opened up if/when we donāt win the footy.

I agree with this. But as I donāt really think weāll be competing until 2025 when heāll be 32, if a good offer (including us paying lots of his salary) came in I would take it. A team who finishes top 4 with a tight salary cap might consider it.

Stringer, Caldwell & Shiel versus Coll 2nd game was the best centre square combo ive seen from us for quite some time (with either Ruck).
Stringer didnt even play well, but he was influential in there (Crisp was struggling in the contest).

Yeah, we looked good. I read somewhere Draper only played 60% game time, was kinda thinking with Draper playing such limited minutes of that contributed to our midfield runners getting tired.

He had turned it around but, I agree that we should trade him to a finals competitor and get a top 10 pick.
He was easily in our top 5 over the first few rounds IMO (which isnāt saying much)
