Bairnsdale.
Top set of pictures is the road coming in from Paynesville.

Also an ideal setting to complete my proposed “triathlon to work” :joy:

Surely the ‘drought’ is over?

I don’t recall a day with this much rain over here in Rads for many years.

This could be because I think it’s the most daily rainfall in 15 years? I think that’s what I read.

It hasn’t even bucketed down here, just steady, heavy-ish rain for about 80% of the day.

Rain.

Yep. I don’t mind it actually. Kind of cool.

In the East - yes, but not in the West?

Something very comforting about being inside when it’s apocalyptic outdoors.

We’ve had a much needed wet July in the Southwest with Portland recording 164mm.

The long-term average is 100mm and the highest recorded was 180mm in 2013.

Is it looking greener around your world? It was pretty brown when I drove thru April/May.

Very green indeed, with lots of water lying around.

I daren’t mow my back paddock for fear of bogging the Victa.

I saw a photo of one of Saturday’s games (I think at Camperdown, which is 100km east of Port Fairy) and you could not see who was playing whom, it was so muddy.

So still a fair bit of standing water.

Sounds like Glenferrie Oval in the 60s.
