Rain is nice. Frogs in the pond going nuts.
Funny. On the weekend someone was driving down one of the neighbourhood streets and hit a “pot hole” OK, thats normal these days. Except it was actually the sign of a, ditditdahdah “sinkhole”.
So, the council closed off the street, and since it was a friday, a guard was posted there 24 hours to prevent anyone being sucked into it. ( everyone seen the images of giant sinkholes swallowing buildings and cars )
So I went over there to look at it on monday. 2 sections of stormwater pipe pulled out and a trench across the road. What a fizzer. Not all sink holes under roads are like a black hole.
Looks like there may be a little moisture around in Melbourne. Massive pool of water next to the covers at the VIC vs SA women’s game at the Junction, and lots of water on the glass of the commentary box. Can hardly see Fitzroy St.
Fantastic totals to start what looks like a 3 day event. Other parts of the state also getting a great drop.

I would like to see this rise a bit before what it is expected to be a hot & dry summer (El Nino).
It was some epic rainfall in Williamstown this arvo - bit of a hairy drive home through some big puddles in my ancient Yaris.
We have two 22 and a half thousand litre water tanks in position, in the backyard waiting for the plumber to come and plumb them in. Was supposed to get here at the start of the week. We’re gonna miss all this.
Ah well. The others are filling up.
Surely we can put some boomgates that lower when the water reaches a certain level, to prevent the usual bunch of morons from driving through.
Must have a few leftover from the LX removal project.
I feel it’s natural selection at work. Those too stupid to hold driving licenses get to destroy their cars in a fairly safe way.
Yeah but they help insurance premiums go up
