anyone got stats on intercept marks?
I don't have the stats but I do know Hooker was number 1.
Id like to know Hibberds spoils. reckon he might be top 5.
People seem to be influenced by the team drop off and assume Pig did as well.
Apart from the Carlton game his stats suggest otherwise.
any committee that thinks KB is worthwhile to be a member of, will have NFI.

The AFL is not about competence, it's about genuflection.
And this trait will probably carry Tom Harley all the way to the commission one day, so adeptly does he tug the forelock.
Hibberd should of made the 40 and would of been close to the 22.
You can look at 1%ers (mainly spoils) on footywire.I don't have the stats but I do know Hooker was number 1.

Hibberd's a fair way down that list, which I would've expected. He often gets the ball by getting to the front or reading it better. Bags would get more, as would most other last line, man on man defenders.
No Hooker or Pig? Wow, especially Pig.
Not good enough. By that l mean the AA squad is good enough for them. Squad nothing, they should be in the AA team.

Not enough love for the Hooker in here. I reckon in front of Pig for a spot.
That is an awful lot of North players.
Carlisle stiff.
especially in the back
Random thoughts on the the All Australian selection panel which consists of:
Andrew Demetriou (chairman), Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Mark Evans, Danny Frawley, Glen Jakovich, Cameron Ling and Mark Ricciuto
- Could one argue that 7 WA based players out of 40 is a direct result of having 1/8 of the panel members from WA?
- I'm not sure how Demetriou has time to decide on who is in the AA squad considering he is either on holidays, on a fact finding mission overseas, locked in negotiations about handing down penalties for our war crimes or sitting on tv talk show panel.
- How did KB not get a single Tiger in the squad
- Cameron Ling only managed to get Jarryd Roughead in as a redhead.
I just compared Hibberd's numbers to those of Mackie, Enright and Malceski.
- He averaged 23.6 possessions a game, compared to Mackie (21.1), Enright (22.8) and Malceski (22.8).
- One surprising thing is that Mackie and Enright both averaged more marks, 6.4 and 7.2 respectively vs Pig's 6.1 - Malceski was just 4.2.
- Malceski dominated rebound 50s with 177, while Hibberd was 4th with 95 - well ahead of Enright 77 and Mackie 59.
I know stats aren't everything but based on this he is very very stiff. All four play comparable roles and if anything Hibberd locks down on his man more often.
If I was having a bet either Daniel Wells or Luke Hodge will be named on one of the half back flanks in the AA team. Interestingly Hibberd averaged more possession than both even though his time in the midfield was basically nil.
The other interesting comparison is between Hooker and Mackenzie. Does anyone have good stats on goals conceded because Hooker gets a lot lot more ball and I would think their goals against would be similar.

Naming a squad is crap. Just name the team and be done with it. Stupid F!@#$% AFL.
Think what may have gone against Hibberd is that in the second half of the year he got less possessions outside the defensive fifty. There was a period of four weeks where this dropped away to nothing.

I agree with the sentiment, especially because the metaphors were mixed so gloriously.

I completely agree.
More tv/radio/paper time = more $. The AFL is so morally corrupt it is wrong. It wants everyone to be zombies and just live in the AFL bubble. Sadly I do....
If taken over the whole year, then Jobe, Pig and Jake Carlisle did enough to be selected in the bet 22.
The whole thing is political and Jobe will not make the final cut. In au case, the whole concept is bullshit.
Don’t rate the all Australian side as a concept, but while I’m here,Hibbo was stiff to miss the squad of 40.
Though having Jobe there is making blues & tigers fans fume, which I do enjoy!
Every year that goes by, the AA side loses more and more credibility. Either a popularity contest for the current "commentary pants wetter of the moment" or "Wow this guy has made an impact off the field" clowns.
Or just name the popular ones.
Mark Ricciuto should never get a gig on any future panel after voting for his adelaide boys in the rising star yesterday only person not to give O'Meara the top votes!

Nor should Jakovich. Gave it to Shuey over Heppell.
