Meritorious but not polished.
Crows really lifted intensity + mixed up how they were moving the ball in the 3rd, and got us off the back flanks. Got the ball into the hands of Gibbs & Sloane, always going to hurt. Crows 5.3 in the Q1 + Q2 + Q4… all the damage in that third. A few defensive mistakes when put under pressure, a few guys seemed to tire (McGrath Stringer Langford, to name 3) then a bounce back in the last.
Still, held a very good side to a reasonable total, a rotation down, with a dog day in front of goal; and absolutely nothing from 2 of our 3 best players. Meritorious.
Man I’d like us to poach Greenwood. Future man beast.
Goddard all class. Bobbed up at the right time every quarter. Langford useful. McGrath to midfield is going to work very nicely.
