Adelaide v Dons Friday 7.40pm @ Adelaide oval - unknown year and round

Shiel and Tsatas are a class above Menzie.

In: Sticking tackles and Menzie

Out: Opposition red time goals and Tsatas

Tsatas in for whoever and I’ll be happy.

Im not expecting to win but we should be competitive and in it up to our eye balls til well into the last quarter.

No excuses for game being over before half time against anyone let alone Adelaide.

Perfect fixturing for us. Fantastic opportunity to try exercise the demons of gather round.

Adelaide can bring it and its their home deck.

Don’t know many old bastards that have Shiel’s rig, me included.

no changes, unless menzie is an out.

Then Hind into the 22 and sub can be Tsatas

Temptation to play Shiel would be there as Adelaide’s midfield is treacle slow, but I think he needs another run in the 2s.

Out: Menzie (omitted)
In: Tsatas

I’m a big fan of Tsatas, but I think he will best develop atm getting full time mid minutes in the VFL for a couple more weeks.

I reckon there will be no changes. Menzie will go out when Guelfi is back.

Fixture done us a bit of a favour as well with a Friday night game before a Thursday ANZAC Day.

Collingwood have to play on the Saturday (against a pretty hard Port outfit) which then gives them a 5 day break before ANZAC Day.

Sometimes the small things add up…

Davey actually gets front and centre and puts defensive pressure on the ball exiting our 50m. I know he made mistakes but he is a genuine small forward not a midfielder trying to play the position.

Hopefully the Crows show up last thing we want is them losing by 10 goals against FC with backs to the wall at 0-5

I do feel somewhat more confident we wouldn’t give up a 5 goal lead and get smashed around the ball in the least again. Last year at 3/4 I was terrified they were going to run us down

In - Tsatas (sub)
Out - Hind (VFL)

Keep the same structure. Hind back to VFL for match fitness.

Has the genuine speed and acceleration necessary to put defenders under pressure. Menzie works his tale off but just doesn’t have the acceleration he needs to do it

I think opposite, crows get belted it will zap anything they have left

Crows just don’t have the list. What we are seeing is what they are.

They have deficiencies everywhere, some of them are significant.

They can only win based on out of the box effort which isn’t sustainable or from momentum at the right time.

True.

SA media will put the blow torch on the Crows all week if they get belted and will want to bounce back at home thats my worry

I look at their line up and think of you can limit Rankine and Rachele you win.

Rachele hasn’t fired a shot this year so it’s just about limiting Rankine, which Kelly will do.

They rely on individuals, they are not functioning as a team at all.
