I don’t even know why I read it like that, but I did.

shitposting isn’t a sport simmo
it’s a god damn fine lifestyle it what it is
This is my position on this too. It’s time for new voices and new ideas. Across the whole recruiting / list management department.
Pretty unlikely he will be better then Parish next year
If Bontempelli is in the draft, you take him.
But the starting point needs to be bringing in your competitors as the first step.
That’s not to say that we don’t have any…. But we are severely lacking. The results speak for themselves in this area.
I can forgive poor ball use, if the players is desperate to win it back.
This is why I’m happy to strategically get players like Menegola and the like, who can provide this leadership in training. And even if he isn’t playing AFL, it improves the standards & competitiveness in the VFL.
I’m not even concerned about positional list changes (what positions we need, etc), and more focussed on improving culture.
You have summed it up pretty well.
I don’t the resources that each club have at their disposal but from talking to people involved at several SANFL clubs it does seem that some AFL clubs scout harder and deeper than others. Sydney was one club that was mentioned that has staffers attend weekly trainings, school footy etc.
I see a lot of scouts at games but I wonder how many delve deeper
Makes me think of that time we spent a second round pick on alex Morgan who had walked away from footy for a year and then come back to it.
“Project”
Fark second round project players. That’s what the rookie list is for
I fully expect he will be relieved of his role after the trade period.
Is what Blitz said 10 years ago
I wish I could buy share in Adrian Dodoro. They would be considered blue chip.
I’ve studied a lot about group psychology in my job.
It’s actually easier to start a new club from scratch, than to change the bad culture of an old club.
I’d much prefer to be Tasmania, than Essendon tbh. And I’m not surprised that GWS overtook us quickly.
If we are going to change the culture, we have to make desperate measures. And that is to remove the people who are deliberately disobeying the standards that has been set. It doesn’t matter who you are.
You also need to overwhelm the previous culture, with the opposite types of people. We must bring in 10+ players who are ultra professionals and hard hitting competitors.
The other thing is, that poor behaviours and negative talk needs to be punished on the spot. No exceptions.
There will be 12 months of push back from players (and administrators) who won’t like the change and will sook it up…… but this is a long term project that needs to happen.
This prick is like Mugabe, he won’t ■■■■■■■ go
Meanwhile Dodoro
“He comes from a good family and has leadership qaulties”
The problem is there are 17 other clubs who already know this and also want that.
WC won a flag 5 years ago. They are simply at the bottom of the cycle.
It’s funny how literally the ONLY stability at the club over the past 20 years is the head of recruitment. In his time we’ve had how many coaches? Presidents? CEOs? Players arrive and leave? Absolutely astonishing.
I’m so done with Disco.
My biggest issue with him, isn’t his drafting or trading, it the fact that the same issues positionally just linger for seasons after seasons. Meanwhile, every other club just fills multiple holes in their list within one offseason and progress onto the next issue.
For how many years are we in need of a small forward who can apply elite pressure for? 3 seasons? So Liam Henry will go to Hawthorn now and we’ll just wait for Snelling to magically come good is usually how it goes.
We wont stretch to get McKay coz we don’t wont the compensation to impact our pick, but BZT will leave and we’ll just wait for Reid and Laverde to become elite pillars (even though Lav wins the reverse Coleman each year).
Same ■■■■ every season.
