Adrian Dodoro - Flankers into Mids since 2000 (Part 2)

dodoro is like that guy that buys a perfectly fine house, does big renos to it and ends up making it worse, then tries to sell it for twice as much

Both could have put us to the sword had they kicked accurately early in the game. We played a qrt of good footy against Carlton

This doesn’t really mean that much in the scheme of things. There are upsets every year so beating some top 8 teams doesn’t matter that much unless we can do it consistently and then also capitalize on playing the lower-ranked teams.

A similar example is bulldogs beating us in 2000, yet no one really thinks they were in our league that year.

How many times have we beaten the best team in the comp and then lost or scraped over the line against a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  basket case

Some teams having a lot of luck.

Priority selections and truly bottoming out gave out a lot of free premierships.

Might as well not bother winning games of footy then with this attidude.

A wins a win.

I’d argue that we’ve done this every season for about 15-20 years?

Mate of mine sat with DODO at the GF and here’s what Dodo has said regarding his tenure, trades and our current list:

  • Dodo still plans to remain at the club for the next 5 years.

  • Next 12 months stays the same and he teaches Rosa.

  • Best thing McKay does is free up Ridley.

  • Gresham is a done deal.

  • Hunter and Voss will have to wait till after trade period for a list spot.

  • Big name that hasn’t been mentioned yet, really close to landing.

  • Mentioned it was really hard to keep players at the club during Truck’s tenure.

  • 16 players injured with 4 weeks to go this season; many played injured.

  • Someone has offered an early pick for Shiel, so it’s an offer too good to refuse.

  • Dodo was cursing McCartney after one of Bobby Hill’s goals…

Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger.

( This is the same mate who told me the Parish deal was all but done about 2 months before he signed).

Yep. As expected.

Some of us were shouted down for suggesting this reality.

If someone’s offered an early pick for Shiel what’s with the Gresham/Saints debacle? P.S. Appreciate the intel. Looking forward to hearing more about the big name.

Should people working at the club leak like a sieve to people? Pretty unprofessional me thinks.

I’d guess It’s the pick 13 scenario, or whatever the compo works out at.

Apparently Gresham is a done deal; I have no idea about anything else.

Ehh, it’s a footy club, not the Ministry of Defence.

Don’t think it is that big a deal.
