Thats a massive reach. He would have been on a absolute bare minimun contract regardless and itâd be a shocking decision to give a injury bloke 2 years simply to spread the money over multiple years instead of 1

So if he was on the absolute minimum whatâs the issue? Weâre paying out a minimum contract. We had plenty of cap space regardless. Heâs not taking the extra list spot in year 2.

The negotiation could have easily been 300k for one year or 2 years at 200k.
I understand it wasnât a smart decision. I just think it had barely any impact on the list.
Iâm saying that if weâre using AAs to evaluate draft selections we shouldnât include those players that were always coming to us, or to any other team for that matter.
Either way you look at it, our AA record is awful.

Hugo Garcia from the Calder Canons - our own back yard, picked by the Saints at #50 in 2023, played his first game against GWS and looks a serious talent. 185cms, 2.93 for 20m, clean skills and a tackling midfield machine. How did he escape Adrianâs forensic gaze last year I ask you? We missed one here.

Not saying Iâm a fan of Dodoro, but all Iâm reading in the Nobby Clarke against Adelaide is Caldwell, Durham, Jones Cox and Hobbs.
Great to see the young guns play a big role in a great win !

I think Caldwell in particular has stepped up a bit this year.
We could have had Stengl in the mid season draft. The small forward we needed.
These last 2 weeks has proven to me that Dodoro has just been unlucky for 20 years.
