Wonder if Fitzpatrick will be the major share holder in the new stadium being constructed? There's good governance for him. He can sit on the board for that and ANZ stadium as well as use his good governance to manipulate his conflict of interests at the AFL.

The truth needs to be revealed re the AFLs management of the league over 2013 and obviously this would be too hard for AD to take. (I'd like to know when this is going to happen and which journalist is going to take up the pursuit.)
I'm glad he's gone. He really has done nothing extraordinary for the game. Wow - expansion - 2 new clubs! Seriously, anyone else could've done the same thing and it was not rocket science. Wow - lets advance respect for women and embrace multiculturalism (which I am all for both - very important!). For me, society was and continues to change in this area - he is not groundbreaking or a pioneer but simply following suit (and I believe Kevin Sheedy can take more credit for advancement in multiculturalism in the AFL than AD).
So where are we with AD - a botched tribunal process, ridiculous knee jerk reactions and rule changes to an evolving game, a butchered governance of tanking, monitoring performance enhancing drugs (the AFL have no clue), Us in 2013. I'm sure there's more.
But sadly the AFL think they are a success as they have made ground on the NRL - which is a wrong, wrong, wrong measurement of success!! The NRL are a disgrace of an organisation who will eventually kill the sport in all but 2 states. They are so backwards in their thinking that they're stars leave to play other codes, and apart from their finals series and State of Origin, they are largely insignificant.
