Also, and forgive me for rehashing the first chapter of this mini saga (the Hird pay issue) but it just occurred to me that what with the time value of money and the opportunity cost of investment the overall effect of pay coming in the form of a lump sum is a great benefit to Hird. Who's to say he doesn't already contribute financially to the club? Regardless, it's not really our place to say what he should do with the money that is due to him as part of his contract.
