Ump declines to pay fifty to the Pies, and that all but locks in the wooden spoon for them.
Oh well.

Oh well.
Bears took 16 minutes to score (no obvious wind). Maybe a good thing we don’t need them to beat the Saints any more…
6-6
Collier comes off bleeding profusely from the eye brow.
In theory the Bears could drop to 5th.
But as I wrote that, the better-but-not-favourite Svarc drills a set shot from a stupid angle.
12-6
4.6.30 leads 1.0.6 at half time.
Swans have locked in a better fixture next year – won’t get to 12th now.
Seeya next week.
Ha, after the first 16 minutes the scores was Bears 11.12.78 and Swans 0.4.4
Bears now have a better percentage than Adelaide, and if the Tiggers can beat the Hawks next week there is still a chance for the Bears to get to second place and earn the home final… and more importantly avoid finishing fourth and facing Norf!
Likely best combo of results: Cats at home beat Crows, Tiggers beat Hawks, and Freo and Port don’t mess up.
That sets up Tiggers v EFC, and (for the LOLz) a South Australian showdown.
The catch is you wait two days, the Hawks beat the Tiggers instead, and we cop Adelaide.
Okay who said that Sun night and mid week games were great?
“Sara”???
Must have been, cause I can’t find anyone who agrees with that statement.
I don’t mind a Sunday night game.
But mid-week games can GAGF.
Laura says you like both, not just Sunday night games…
Kane insisted there had been positive feedback from players and fans on Sunday night and midweek games trialled during the condensed period and suggested many of the slots used would return.
“We absolutely hear the feedback. A lot of it I share … we’re definitely across how people feel,” she said.
“One thing we did learn, which wouldn’t have happened for that start of fixture, was that Sunday nights and midweek football, people really like that, the fans like it.
“You might see a midweek game next year, but when do you play your next one? I think we’ve heard the feedback on that one pretty clearly.”
I’ll start by saying that just about anytime I see a High Ranking AFL/AFLW Official opening their mouth, I’m expecting to hear a bunch of lies.
With that in mind, I’m wondering at the sheer stupidity of those in charge of the game at the highest level.
Start a new comp…slowly build it up…see it improve and attract more spectators/viewers.
And then put it time slots that almost guarantee that young fans (and potential future players) won’t be able to go and watch the games live…all based on “feedback” from fans???
Adelaide want to play us. Kicking at 20% rather than 80% to trail 25-10
Geelong getting some interesting calls their way helps matters a little.
Season done for Geelong, double chance for the Crows (without Ponter, maybe?)
Comes out of sister’s play… oh what a bloody relief!
(Crows, not the play)
Casey lead the Pies 45-14 at halftime.
They need a 44-0 second half to get past us if we tie FCFC 0-0 tonight (any higher-scoring draw marginally improves our percentage, and any win by us makes the below irrelevant).
60-20 at the final break
