Sydney will be helped by the return of reigning best and fairest winner Sofia Hurley from a quad injury, as Cynthia Hamilton comes out with ankle and knee injuries suffered early in last week’s win over West Coast. As confirmed by Sydney earlier in the week, co-captain Chloe Molloy will miss the remainder of the season with a back injury.
Guessing this is just an administrative thing because we wouldn’t have enough players to top up otherwise?

For those who don’t follow the VFLW team, she is (was?) an 18yo Tasmanian U18 captain who joined us this year (and has re-signed for next year).
Mid/fwd, most obvious comparison is Dustin Martin style: get out of my way!

One of my favourite moments of the 2024 VFLW season was when Bailey’s luxurious hair came loose this one time, and Bonnie completely and very loudly lost it in the crowd.
Hunt will likely play forward, especially with the outs of Brooker and MiaVanDyke. Could have some mid time, especially with Prespakis out (big-bodied mid).
As an AFLW player she mostly played as a rebounding back, but she’s not as fast as she once was…. Has a booming kick.
It’s gloomy, relatively cool, 94% humidity.

Bloody clown ground has a roof that covers about a quarter of the seats (much less if the wind is from the north)… and they’ve blocked off two-thirds of the “International Stadium” stands.
