Thought Doonan was ok last week but DBan has to come back in. Good changes.
Yeah.
She’s considered a midfielder.
Even playing deep forward, she found her way up near the back flank against Freo. She’s just a very fit woman.
Also she had a few moments in the VFLW GF last year where she went in, won a contested ball and broke away from the pack.
I hope she gets another shot somewhere through the year.
Edit…
Kodi Jacques is also considered a midfielder. But I don’t think she plays there. I’ve noticed her more off the backline but to be fair, I rarely noticed her before this week.
@theDJR would know more about her.
So are we a good chance to win tomorrow? Pies form a little scratchy it seems. It will be great to rain on their parade, before the storm hits their other parade!
Pies are betting favourites, but form and tips are more for us.
Bri Davey in middling form helps.
Important game.
Win and we get a small break on the mid ladder teams. Even if it’s just for a short period of time.
Lose and we’re stuck right in there.
Tough run home. Win here + Eagles without a massive dent in percentage, might just be enough to make finals. Sneak another win and it’ll be a great season.
We’re looking forward to the challenge. Whether we’re ready for it is unknown.
Edit…
Thought the other game was done. Eagles can still lose this game.
I’ve got us favourites versus Pies, Tiggers, WCE, and FCFC.
Gold Coast TBC, Cats should beat us.
Being favourite each time doesn’t mean you win all four, of course.
Finishing midfield last year means we largely control our destiny vs our direct competitors.

Enter via the Brunton western gate, head to the southern wing.
Gee with the forwards in warmup.
Vogt with the mids.
Gusty wind towards the southern wing.
Occasionally swings to favour the western/right-of-screen end.
Crowd currently very small, and about 80% Bombers.
Scott took a very nice specky over Cloke to end first warmup.
I told the crowd not to encourage her.
Cutting joins the plebs on the southern side.
Already over 26 degrees, >30kph wind.
Hopefully our running hard through to the final quarter, and the Pies not last week, is evident.
Pies won the toss, nominally kicking with the wind.
