Sammy Armytage was delisted from Today show after Wednesdays campaign. I still wanna see some chic cleavage on the morning desk. Thats why i wake up with Today.
Patrick Said yes, Saints said no.
It has to be case by case. Itās unlikely that thereās someone we would be keen on, but it doesnāt mean we should close our eyes to it. Sometimes a kid is in the wrong environment, and just doesnāt get the opportunity they need, and at the same time clubs are forced to delist kids that they donāt necessarily want to delist
Someone like Barnett could conceivably go away and grow into their role (without his club having brought in a top draft pick in the same role). Not suggesting that we should look at him, just saying that individual cases have to be understood before drawing a line through anyone.
Iām mystified by the idea that weād ignore rookieing a young player because theyāve played AFL before, but state level mid-career players are fine.
Yeah, definitely would have a look at a kid delisted if we think they have some traits we could use
Cooper Bell delisted by suns is definitely worth a look.
Yeah, delistings can be a result of pecking order for positions, list demographic, draft intentions etc. One clubās discard could be another clubās need.
Whether our club has a need to tap into it this off season⦠well, with some of the players weād all like to see the back of, there may be possible upgrades, however minor.
If thereās a small fwd with proper pace or a tall back, no reason we shouldnāt have a good look.
Dogs have delisted Oskar Baker.
I know nothing of him as a player, but would recruit him purely for the hair, headband and mo.
I always refer to Baker as āYosemite Samā.
PS. There is an AFL website that aggregates the delisting information:
Baker is a bit of a suprise.
Not if you have watched him play. Heās was all hustle and bustle with no finish.
I saw a few of their games earlier in the season and his finish looked fine to me.
Though I do watch a lot of Essendon games so my perception may be dulled.
Well, we have barely any hustle, minimal bustle and zero finish so he might be worth looking at.
When do we expect delistings to start being announced? By memory last year it came in batches.
Will happen after our VFL campaign finishes. Thereās usually 2 blocks of delistings - one immediately as the season ends, then one usually after trade period.
Weāre amongst the leaders in finish.
We are finished off by about quarter time most weeks, our season was finished by round 4, most of our best players are finished.
Patrick Said (delisted). It must have been pretty bad, whatever it was!
Apparently he did a joke about Right Said Fred
