Break dancing in competition doesn’t work for TV viewing, misses the energy of the crowd gathered around and the music, commentary over it doesn’t work. Costumes were also out of place.

I don’t think breaking is embarrassing or a disaster, it follows the style of competing countries, an international following, judging, technicality etc.

It’s a little hard to get past people dancing, but then again there’s artistic swimming. Worth them trying it.
