I don’t know if we’ll win again this year. And I’m fine with it. This is the pain we need to go through. Anything but another 8 to 14th finish.

AFL is too scientific and precise to let baptisms of fire produce hardened future champions, I’m afraid.

A big assumption there that things are actually going to improve after 20 years of thinking/hoping for the same thing.
I’m far more enthused about going to watch this club play now, with all the kids in the side.
Earlier in the year, I was so over the same older players making the same f*cking mistakes…… and showing zero emphasis to change anything.
Atleast now we can support the future…

This, very disappointing that most of their scores were due to ourlandishly poor kicks or poor decisions, could easily have been much closer
you gotta have anothe team you like to watch it you don’t want to go completely insane during this hard time.
Nobody takes us seriously anymore. Been vanilla for far too long with easy going leadership.

Safe to say out of the draftees from last year ADW and Unwin wont be on the list?
They know what they’re up against. Just need to try to win the contests they’re in. If getting smashed a few times breaks them, then they’re not what we need anyway.
There may be enough delisting from elsewhere that no draftees need to be cut.
Unwin being injured doesn’t help.

At once stage deep in the third, the scores were 55-98. Not bad, not great.
Then they scored 1-53 in the last.
Our guys are horrific kicks. Poor tacklers, slow and unskilled.
Lets be harsh but real. Lual, Day-Wicks, Blakiston, Perkins and Gresham contributed utterly ■■■■ all. Some of them are lucky to be playing VFL. Day-Wicks never earnt senior football with VFL performances, suddenly he’s in and given 5 games straight. Same as Laul who never earnt a game. Caddy may as well not have shown up. Prior is a joke down back, utter spud. Then you had Clarke and May battle in a ■■■■-show. Almost half the team right there. Kako has lost the excitement and now just a chaser.
You can plonk Parish in the team when it’s winning by 10 goals or losing by 10 goals and he’d get the usual 30 odd disposals whilst having no impact. McGrath just handballs to feet over and over and over.
I reckon Setterfield and Johnson played decently, we found one in Johnson. Goldstein tried.

In defense of Johnson’s turnovers, there wasn’t much upfield to kick to for a lot of the game.
