Does my head in. Not really an issue with opposition supporters but I always cop the ones who carry on like they won a flag when they beat an 18th place Essendon.

That would be utopia, but we know it ain’t happening.
My hope is just that at least one of Huss or Nguyen comes in.
We know Jones is in (based on Scooter) - it should be for Edwards - who admittedly was abysmal last week.

Realistically there is no one else.
Let’s just hope the Jones call ends up better than the Guelfi call.

True. We have a lot of injuries. And only a few players playing VFL last week (Jones, Bourke, Hayes, Gerryn & Huss), but Nguyen was the travelling emergency, so he missed out on a game.
We’ll have Artemis, Parish & Ridley available next week.
Clarke and Sharp the week after the bye.
Then Caldwell, Guelfi, Kako, McGrath, McMahon, Unwin and Visentini the week after.
Not all of them come straight into AFL, but players like Gresham, McKay, Cox, Blakiston and Setterfield should be finding their way on to emergency lists / VFL.
We’ll see who are the emergencies are tonight. Huss and Nguyen should be in the team. Regardless of whether Brad was coach or Solly.

Games like this one make me a bit sad. They remind me how little I emotionally invest in Essendon these days.
I used to get really wound up for Fark Carlton games. I hated losing to them. Always did really, but even more after 99. That is as deflated as I ever got after a game. Have never felt as much disdain for an opposition supporter group… feral animals. I was grumpy for days. During the week after I snapped at many folks who dared mention the war.
This week though, I honestly couldn’t give a toss. I may or may not watch it. Depends on what’s on. I certainly won’t be organising my weekend around it.
That’s what this club has done. I’m just fresh out of farks to give about it anymore…

Same tbh. Other than ■■■■ posting, I’ve been pretty checked out for a while. Scott getting the axe and the potential of Hirdy or Horse has reinvigorated me a bit and I’ll go Sunday night but I just wanna see us have a red hot go!

Fingers crossed, things are looking brighter over the next month.
I’m hoping the emergencies are Kondo, Gresham & either Edwards or Jones.
Kondo is nowhere near ready for AFL; however, I’m happy he has been given a few tastes as I think it will help him with his preparation for the next pre season.
I’m really just over Gresham and I think he has used up all of his chances.
Edwards v Jones is the interesting one. I can’t see us playing both. Personally I would prefer Edwards; but, he was beyond horrible last week. Ironically, being from WA maybe he didn’t cope with the conditions.
I used to be a big rap for Jones; however, whether it be by injury, poor coaching, his own development, all of the above or something else, he has stagnated, even gone backwards.
