i remember years of getting frustrated at late 3rd/all of 4th qtr fadeouts after spending all of our tickets before that

Those changes are fine. Jones couldn’t offer less than Edwards last week. Jones is younger than Edwards, so playing the youth (joke).
Weitering out probably adds a couple of goals to our score.

Yep.
But to me, it’s obvious this wasn’t a Brad thing.
The assistant coaches agree with what Brad would do.
And its not just Hurley & Stanton, but also the freshly parachuted out of the board Solly.
I notice a similar thing at other clubs too (not just us). Whatever their fans see, they just don’t see it. I put it down to ‘there’s more to it than just VFL/AFL form’. Coaches see something we don’t.

Don’t think he’s much chop eithier we are struggling to find players who are afl standard don’t we have like almost 20 injured
If I had to guess, the coaches may be more wary than us of the kids’ confidence being ruined by playing senior footy and having their weaknesses exposed for all to see.

Jones hey? No excuses this time, give him 3 games as the full forward and if he doesn’t do enough to hold his spot then that’s it, no more AFL.
Edwards to play in the forward line in the VFL and kick 6 goals.

so just play the older more senior players and allow their weaknesses to get exposed, and continue to have a losing culture around the kids who you are willing to play.
Maybe just maybe the assistant coaches are just as ■■■■ at the previous head coach, and have no ■■■■■■■ brains of their own to actually think beyond the environment they are pre conditioned to be acceptable.
I would have thought, the one smart thing anyone remaining after scotts sacking would do is, not ■■■■■■■ repeat the exact same ■■■■ he did, unless you’re actually trying to tank, to which you should have just kept scott, let him take the fall, and reset next year.
what’s the ■■■■■■■ point of sacking him, then doing the exact same things, just to lose under a caretaker coach, even before you get out on the park.

So exactly what selection(s) this week made you lose your ■■■■? Surely not Jones for Edwards?
So Jones can’t get a kick in the reserves and gets elevated to the senior team?? I didn’t realise this club was as bad as that. The quicker this year goes, the better. Jones can head the delistings at the end of the year.

Nothing worth getting worked up over at selection this week in my opinion.
To be honest we really need to have a good look at Cox, Tsatas, Perkins, Jones who I think are all out of contract. In that respect I’m glad we are playing them.
If my life depended on a win, I would want Cox and Jones out immediately but given where we are at I’m not too fussed

You want to pay him out? He’s contracted until end of 2027. Might as well see if we can get a return on that investment.
