Any past player updates?

Milne may have been a villain, but he was a sensational player. An excellent mark for his height, lightning quick and strong enough to break most tackles. And would kick a goal from anywhere within about 60 metres and very rarely missed. Kicked at least 40 goals in nine seasons, at least 50 in five and 60 or more twice. Well over 550 for his entire career.

If we can get a player who was as good as him, I couldn’t care less whether he’s a villain or the nicest guy in the world.

And we got rid of him because Sheedy didn’t like his attitude.

Thanks mate. Do you know who is looking after the vineyard these days? The Chardonnay and Pinot from that vineyard was truly first class.

Not sure what Reimers is actually doing, but I picture telling people about the time he kicked 8 goals in a game happens a lot.

I think the Scott Gumbleton who sometimes gets attention on twitter isn’t the same as the Essendon Scott Gumbleton.

The Fletch on twitter IS the real one - sadly, because he’s gone pretty deep down a weird politics rabbit hole and spends a lot of his time slagging off Greta Thunberg and complaining about illegal immigration to the US etc.

I believe Alan Noonan is a reviewer of foreign movies on some footy fan forum.

better than a PIA

His story about growing up on the WA goldfields is really one of the most astounding I have read.

I will try to get a copy to post here.

Sadly, not what I have heard.

Only when it was ■■■■■■■ important!

Wow.

You missed all the MFB calendars? :joy:

The frustrating thing is that we did have a player as good as him. But unfortunately let him go to the Saints

Better that Patton is kept away from the general public

I knew Alec pretty well in the dark, distant past ~ he was fond of telling me I needed to find a real man ie. someone his age.

He was on the committee before it became the board and always seemed to be at loggerheads with Sheeds.

I think that is a story of someone else and he has just replaced it with Fletch

Hello @Robin_Close . I found this info:

The 30 year old Epis vineyard at Woodend in the Macedon Ranges continues to excel.

Now at 86 years, Alec is less hands on these days but remains passionate about his vineyard and wines. Recent vintages have seen Alec assisted by Michael Dhillon and Gilles Lapalus with Simon Glover managing the process for the health of the vineyard. It has been a great pleasure for friends to step up and help a dear colleague ensure the high standards of viticulture and wine quality at Domaine Epis continue.

In 2026 Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti will be the playing coach at Merbein Magpies after leaving the Imperial Football Club at the end of this season, capping off his year with a premiership. His new role involves coaching the team and helping to develop the players, as well as working off-field in a role with the Mildura hospital foundation.
