I’ve been really struggling to find a sound engineer to mix at Bar 303 band room Fri 3 Oct. Long shot, but can any Blizters help?
I’m a sound engineer but not an audio one.
Try that Melbourne muso group perhaps some luck there.
I’ve been out of the live music game for a bit.
Dumb question: What does a non-audio sound engineer do? Noise cancelling?
Audiologist? Maybe. Or acoustic treatment related?
An engineer who is sound (of mind and / or body)?
I’m not sure my joke was worth it in the end…
In the end it doesn’t even matter
What time? How long for etc
I’ll ask around. Have some friends that still tour around so they may have contacts.
I’m a hobbyist audio engineer of around 20 odd years, but mostly for post editing electronic music production and cleaning up podcasts, not so much for live bands, which I presume you’re after?
What are you after specifically? Might have some contacts I can throw your way.
Sorry, I’m unavailable that date.
Hey mate I can possibly help out . What rig is in there and how many bands

An engineer who is capable
Ah thanks heaps but one of my contacts came thru. Finally. And he has mixed that room before, which is good.
But … I think he is o/s ATM and everyone else is unavailable so all my eggs are in his basket so to speak. Given that small risk I’ll PM you details in case he falls thru.
(P.s. I think I may love blitz more than EFC these days)
Prob set up & soundcheck from 7:30. Gig 9-12 ish. But I think I have someone thanks!
One of my mates is a sound engineer but he hasn’t done it for a while. I’ll ask him
Too easy. I haven’t done a live sound gig for a decade otherwise I’d put my hand up. Just do studio stuff these days in whatever spare time I find.
Good luck with the gig
