After the complete and utter failure of the 2026 version of this thread, it is clear that we did not have anywhere near enough time to come up with a suitable title.
With this in mind, here is a new thread which gives us (hopefully) enough time to come up with a really catchy, edgy name.

It does not feel as if the 2027 thread will achieve the same level of success.

This time of year raises hope in EFC supporters that something - anything - will change our fortunes. Every trade hope, every draft chance, every delisting of list cloggers is analysed endlessly in the hope tha things will get better. But of course most, if not all of those hopes, are dashed on the callous rock of reality.
That is why the best name for this time of year in the Blitz calendar is: The Annual Festival of Delusion.
