I’m more than happy to let the other teams have their tribute to Anzac games. And I hope they are a success. Honouring past and present service men and women at any time is a good thing.
Furthermore, the almighty AFL are less likely to tinker with Essendon v Collingwood on Anzac Day itself if people get on board with the other games.

A bit like a pseudo Friday for football. At least it gives us a fairer match up the following week with someone Melbourne only a day fresher than us.
At least we don’t get Richmond after a soft game and a days less break.
