None of this matters.
Trade week didn’t matter.
The draft won’t matter.
We are irrevocably vomitous.

I’ve never heard of Cam Roberts so he must be ■■■■.
We went for the name coaches many times before, they sucked and we didn’t improve, maybe the new vanilla approach will work.
Wasn’t Ben Jacobs our backline coach in 2024? Our backline failed horribly this season. They failed as individuals and they failed as a unit. How is there no coaching change in that area?
I recall many years ago, Rhys Shaw telling me in the player meetings with Malthouse when he had the whiteboard out with the gameplan, all the players left the meeting saying “what the fark was that all about?” None of them had any idea what he was talking about
this coaching appointment seems a choice?
played under Scott at North so has the immunity idol
Except neither of those coaches are “killers” in their respective specialty.
Our players used to say that about Sheedy
Would be nice to have a decent forwards coach.
I thought we might have brought in a big name assistant to help out.
Bartel would have been ideal someone from a successful setup.
I thought we might have looked into Mark McVeigh. He sounds like a focussed and passionate guy in interviews.
What happened to the Head of Development role?
Our playing group couldn’t handle the truths that Bartel and McVeigh would put on them, they would go to water.
Cam Roberts going to be smashing chatgpt over the summer on how to be an AFL forwards coach.
I heard mentioned by Hepp on a podcast he really rates Jacobs as a coach. Same segment he was pretty honest about the rest of the coaches his had during his career (when you read between the lines). So maybe jacobs is ok, maybe the issue was more so personal & balance, ie Laverde playing every game. Start of the year the back 6 was pretty decent, especially when McKay was playing well. I’d give jacobs another season before trying to change up the coach, because I think it was his first year as a line coach this year?
lol so hardly any changes to the panel.
If ever there was an off season where we needed to let a few assistant coaches go, it was that one
Just because Ben Jacobs doesn’t have a gold start AFL resume of excellence doesn’t mean he’s not a terrific coach. We rank and file have little idea how good he or the other assistants are in reality.
Bobby Murphy rates him highly and with Hepps endorsement it makes sense he’d be given more involvement.
Removing Caracella clearly also frees up soft cap space as he was on godfather money. They don’t seem to have replaced this cash on assistants like for like so I assume this money has been transferred to recruiting which has been beefed up. And I think on the surface this makes good sense.
