At the movies - From the couch

Aftersun.

Best movie ive seen in a long time.

I think he’s set the bar for me now.

It’s a true cinematic experience, that makes you think during and after you watch. And no shame in saying ‘I think I have to watch it again, to really understand it all’

Finally watched the trailer, looks fantastic, I know absolutely nothing about the guy, so can’t wait to see the story

With the originals, I actually much prefer Home Alone 2 compared with the first one. A rare example for me of a sequel being more enjoyable than the classic first.

I went to the actual movies and saw ‘The Menu’ over the weekend. I didn’t not like it but I wouldn’t say I was a massive fan either. Very strange run of events throughout that I’m still pondering a couple of days later.

I am a fan of Ridley Scott’s work and have been since his debut effort, the magnificent “The Duelists.”

Home sweet alone had a bit of a twist - the robbers were painted as mum/dad under financial stress and likely to sell house and trying to get something back they thought the kid stole.

Ended up in a lot of pain. wasn’t terrible 5.5/10
Some of the stunts were pretty dangerous though.

Insane. This stunt is epic.

That is amazing !

Hope those people got paid epic amounts for the work that went into doing that and no wonder these movies cost squillions to make.

Looks cool, I wonder what the story line is that supports the jump?

Ie there’s a dirt bike ramp built ready into the nothingness for the jump!

Maybe the old incomplete bridge?

I think that was what they were trying to do with Shia Lebouf in Crystal Skull, but then it turned out Shia Lebouf was a total lunatic, and there was no way people would ever see him as an adventure/action hero.

One thing you can never say about Tom Cruise is that he’s boring. And how fit must he be. And driven.
Maybe he can be our next captain.

It’s actually Scarlet Johansson.

Most of the top spots are Marvel people.
