At the movies - From the couch

What’s the big releases this Christmas / New Year!?

What’s everyone looking forward to?

Dunno. You have to be in the mood for those kinds of films

Avatar: The Way of Water.
Took my wife to see it tonight. It is as visually stunning as it is depicted. It could have been a mistake to take her as she slept through half of it. I just have one question: Does anyone think the Pandorans have prehensile tails?

Anyone got Paramount + streaming service?

Was going to sign up for a free trial to get Top Gun 2.

I’ve found Disney+ has worn thin, seen everything we want to. And Netflix is frustrating, never has anything I’m interested in.

I had it for a bit but felt it really didnt have much on there. This would have been 4/5 months ago now, so quantity may have improved since then, however.

My sister, who has 5 signins, one of which is for me, is threatening to cancel Netflix on account of the megabucks they spent on Harry and Meghan. No pro-Royals, just thinks they’re shockers, so I’d lose my extensive wishlist and viewing habits.

B*tch! I like Netflix for its extensive library of foreign language stuff…and Derry Girls.

then get it yourself you freeloading boomer?

They stinge off my Amazon and Stan, but i also stinge off their Acorn and Britbox.

100% agree, sat down with the kids with a boot leg copy I bought in the smoko shed at work. I was thinking my Friday night was sorted with the kids. Got about 20min in and no one new what was going on. We just turned it off and all went to bed. How that movie got released or even made in the first place is a total mystery.

We used to run with the “ don’t think Axel, makes my ■■■■ itch”.

Good to hear, Mrs Grenvold and I quite enjoyed the first. Might be one to watch over our Christmas and New Year break.

The banshees of Insherin is……different than what I was expecting

Some of it I thought was great, some of it not so great

Barry Keoghan as Dominic is the highlight of the movie
