At the movies - From the couch

Well I guess it’s fair enough if that’s what you think, but I disagree completely. I feel he uses that sort of ending far too often to solve puzzles he’s set himself, instead of finding an answer that makes real sense.

It’s certainly something he’d done very recently before that film, so I think that criticism is valid.

Not seeing much love for Inglorious Basterds.

I can’t even recall the ‘bad guy’ actors name in IB, but that was one hell of a performance. And the fire was probably ‘justified’ in that film.

Once upon a time is visually stunning, acted so well, but I found the ending so ridiculous that it just kind of was too obvious an ending.

A bit of a fan over the years, but sometime it’s a bit too much.

Inglorious Basterds…that’s my top Tarantino flick. Just love it!

One of my all time favourites. Classic Wilder and Pryor. And that chick is hot!

‘Fuzzy wuzzy was a woman’……

‘Was he or wasn’t he a woman’

So many great one liners

Do you mean Christoph Waltz?

Won an Oscar for it, and so he should have.

And that opening scene is….incredible.
I’ve seen a YouTube breakdown of it from a filmmakers perspective.

Stopped watching Once Upon A Time In Hollywood about half way through, found it boring. To be honest I no longer look forward to his movies.

Chekov’s flamethrower was rather egregious, but in a good way.

Tarantino peaked with Pulp Fiction. Everything he has done since is ‘meh’ with quirky Tarantino bits here and there. He was never supposed to make big budget Hollywood films imo.

I liked reservoir dogs even better. Pulp fiction is a bit too long for my liking.

Well he has stated he only has 1 left in him. Then he’s retiring

I think I’ve said this before in this thread but two movies I enjoyed of his are True Romance and from dusk till Dawn which he wrote not directed. I think I’m just over his style of directing.

I found that a complete bore-fest. I sat down one night determined to watch it to the end and got about ⅔ of the way through and gave up. I fail to see the entertainment value in a bunch of nasty men sitting around and pointing guns at each other and shouting ■■■■.

Not everyone’s cup of tea.

I liked Tarantinos work because it was different. But can’t say I have rewatched any of his movies.

I found that Reservoir Dogs does not hold up as well on subsequent viewings.

Pulp Fiction on the other hand I’ve rewatched a million times.
