Black Mass was on TV last night
First time I watched it great film Johnny Depp was fantastic.
edit- was surprised that Whitey Bulger was only captured in 2011 and only spent a few years in jail before he got brutally murdered by other inmates the bastard manged to live his life prior to his arrest basically.

Watched last night on your post. Enjoyed it.
Ending was a tad disappointing. Felt a bit rushed and didn’t ring quite true/real.
Just went and saw The Marksman. Don’t rush out to see it. Standard Liam Neeson plot line but not nearly as fun as some of his others. 5/10
I thought Black Mass could hsve been great but the portrayal by Depp was really off putting to me. Almost cartoonish. I read an article about the actual Whitey Bulger hating the way he was portrayed. Must have got a prison viewing before he got bashed to death.

Watched News Of The World last night.
Predictable as fk, but it’s a solid and entertaining watch.
Kid will likely be a Star, … very watchable.

Sound of Metal. This one got to me, rarely does a film effect me emotionally, last one was Leave No Trace & maybe Portrait of a Lady On Fire. This isn’t as quite as good as either, and bit more low key. A very genuine and brutal take on how hard it is to accept change.

8/10. Really enjoyed it.
Do yourself a favour and don’t look up anything about the story before you watch it, I mildly remembered the event but not the details or what the upshot was and the Film was way better for that.
Just finished Boss level. Was a pretty good action flick…kind of like groundhog day
Watched 2 Netflix movies lately.
Extraction- mercenary has to rescue a drug lords kid. Story was pretty rubbish, some of the action set pieces were very good. They reminded me of the raid movies in the way they were shot. The last shot of the movie sort of ruined it though imo. 6/10
The African doctor- a doctor and his family move from Africa to be the only physician in a small French town who have never even seen a black person in their lives. Loved it. Probably my favourite Netflix movie

I thought extraction was average, but i did watch the whole movie.
If you like Africans in France, try Lupin (sorry it’s a series, technically should be under TV shows)
If anyone ever needs to test out a new sound system, throw on Baby Driver.
The care and craft put into that movie is amazing.
