Australian Policies -- from 2025 Federal election

Lel.

Don’t be like that. Your response was full of Labor and Murdoch talking points and I’m just desensitised to that kind if thing of late.

Don’t take it personally.

I don’t dispute that

Do you feel equally as inclined to talk up that social media targeting company that won Trump the election?

So you think Wayne swan did a good job during the GFC?

EDIT: Not covid, that was terrible.

Iraqis paid dearly when they put their sand over America’s oil. Now the Gazans are paying putting their huts over America’s/Israel’s sand/new beachside resorts.

ATO rules are tough for property in a managed super fund, and does seem a good move. Land tax is interesting as Family Trusts pay a surcharge in Land Tax levies over everyone else.

Are you sure about the CGT benefits, as I cannot find a reference to it.

I have no knowledge at all on the US election. I have enough angst about the religious nutter locally.

Labor ran a good campaign, Liberals ran a crap campaign. I am happy with the result. You calling Paul Erickson a cancer is OTP.

In any case, Labor needs to be a better Government starting now, really are no excuses.

Yep Swan did a good job, and the pity was that Labor aka Rudd lost the plot and the rest is on him and Julia and Caucus that gave us Abbott.

Superfund fully in Pension Mode = No Income Tax

No Income Tax = No Capital Gains Tax

Property is a bit more complicated than that with regards to pension / non pension phases.

My accountant is sleeping but i’m pretty sure this article holds mostly true.

Not sure any of it was easy. Same can be said for response to COVID, none of which was error free but if Government has the balls it can achieve the world. Pity they have to worry about elections l

Opposition Leader Sussan Ley’s office says National Party Senator Bridget McKenzie made false claims during an appearance on 7.30 on Wednesday night.

Senator McKenzie had told the program that the Coalition split occurred because the opposition leader couldn’t give the Nationals the guarantees they sought on four key policies.

Asked whether the issue of shadow cabinet solidarity was also a key issue in the negotiations, as the Liberal leader had asserted, Senator McKenzie said: "It was solely on those four policies.

“I can tell you because I was in the National Party room that made this decision, the decision that was then conveyed to the Liberal leader and that was not part of our consideration … it was solely on those four policies.”

Pressed on whether Ms Ley had misrepresented the discussions, Senator McKenzie said, “Sussan Ley was not part of our party room discussions. I was … I can categorically tell you why we made the decision we did and what that was based on.”

The four policies, according to earlier statements from National Party leader David Littleproud, were: nuclear energy, a regional Australia future fund, supermarket divestiture and regional telephone service obligations.

During the program, Ms Ley’s office delivered a text to 7.30 host Sarah Ferguson disputing Senator McKenzie’s denials.

The text said: “It is not correct to suggest shadow cabinet solidarity was not a sticking point. We have it in writing that it was a requirement from their leader’s office to ours.”

Ms Ley’s office texted a second time, adding about Senator McKenzie: “Her language was deliberate to make it sound like it was just about the policies. That is just not correct.”

Senator McKenzie later told 7.30 she stood by her comments on the program and said the claims made by Ms Ley’s office did not reflect the discussion in the Nationals party room.

Yes, you vote for your local member, not a government, but it’s going to be difficult to take a L or N candidate seriously when they say “vote for my policy platform”.

Ley been reading the Guardian which advised the Libs to do the opposite of what Credulous and Co at Sky After Dark say they should, and crepuscular Credulous is publicly seething. It’s so nice to have bad things happening to bad people for a change.

“ Sky News host Peta Credlin claims Opposition Leader Sussan Ley has “blown up” the Coalition due to her “manufactured haste”.

“It was Ley herself who set an arbitrary deadline to announce her shadow ministry on Thursday, and that, of course, has impacted coalition negotiations,” Ms Credlin said.

“Now, you’ve got to ask, why the deadline? The only real deadline for Ley is the resumption of parliament, and that’s not until July.

“Wouldn’t it be mad if that haste has blown up the most successful political marriage in federal politics?”

Tax free if you’re buying and selling over the age of 65.

Have a read. It’s a rort and just another reason the property market is ■■■■■■ in this country. Taxing over 3M balances will at least force some wealthy super account holders to realise some of these fat gains tax free and sell them onto owner occupiers I hope.

And old people holding all the wealth in this country still bleat and whine about paying tax their whole life. Talk about the gifted generation.

Absolute myth that they will go to owner, occupiers.
The biggest growth in investment property’s is from younger well off people.
Those houses get released into the market and they will just get snapped up by other property barons.
If a new place is released on to the market it will be snapped up ASAP by investors
