Yes it could certainly just be someone that hated Daniel and the Greens candidate (essentially anyone that called out a certain side in the Gaza conflict).
Always thought that Dalidakis should have been in the Liberals. He was in Labor Right Wing and was Senator Conroys hatchet man before he was given a safe pew. He was a shocker as a Minister and Dan didn’t like him much.
Previously he was an exec at Victorian Association of Forest Industries, who pretend they care about our native forests but want to chop them all down and plant blue gums for wood chip.
He trotted out his Jewish Mother when it suited him, but didn’t think he was a warrior of King David’s mob. Someone found him a job at Australia Post so he could leave Parliament, to be replaced by a SL aligned with Dan.
He lasted a whole 6 months at AP which meant he didn’t even get his very generous performance package
He recently referred to himself as a Jewish Australian
His Mum is Jewish, so guess he is as well.
Wow. Did not expect PHON to nab that sixth seat in NSW! ALP looked home and hosed.
One Nation has done very well at this election. Made the final contest in Hunter and Maranoa, saw a ~1.5% increase in primary vote across both houses, and snared two senate seats.
I think they grossly over-estimated the Senate seats going to the “Left”.
However, he is now presenting his religion as a factor in being voted in to the Legislative Council ( leaving out the bit on ethnicity)
Did well on the back of the liberal preference deal.
Level pegging in Bradfield again, both candidates tied on 56,135 votes.
Goldstein partial recount down to two pre-poll centres and potentially postal/absent etc. Been bugger all change (244 in from 260). Well over 26k votes to be counted across those PPV centres, but I reckon there’ll be minimal change.
Looks like the stoners liked OneNation.
To be fair, impaired.
AEC finalised recount in Goldstein : Wilson 175 votes ahead of Daniel.
Daniel concedes.
Dirty tricks worked for Dim Tim.
Not unexpected, but the decrease in margin makes the recount call reasonable for mine.
Not in the same league as Wilson and Hume’s (and Price’s) comments about AEC integrity and @Lawry needs to take a good hard look at himself for his gq’s/outright statements.
