Australian Policies -- from 2025 Federal election

And while nobody is happy about an uptick in jet skis and ebikes getting nicked, or indeed any sort of violent crime, it’s always conservatives who cry loudest and demand ‘action’, something quick and reactionary. The same folks who cheered on Johnny for years and championed the individual over the community, wealth seeking over general welfare, trickle down instead of raising all the boats with the level, and all the things that lead to division and inequality and rage. Farking selfish idiots, we all reap what you sow.

You don’t have to buy that. Nobody is selling it. It’s empty, made of straw, keep it, you made it.

The wealthy have always thought that crimes against property are worse the crimes against persons.

I’d be happy if they just emphasised any carjacking, knife or machete attacks. We can’t have those little ■■■■■ treating a police station as a revolving door. Do one of those crimes terrorising people, you’re going inside.

Where are the Christian Brothers now that we need them ?

You very much tried to sell it earlier.

You mean this?

You don’t reckon there’s a bit more to that than “just give them an opportunity”, or to paraphrase your good self “a big mac and a hug”? You can read and interpret on a superficial level if you like, just like you can agree with people screaming for quick and simple answers to long and difficult problems in society.

If you’re calling me out for a dumb, easy hot take why don’t you quote me? Instead you opted for a dumb easy hot take yourself.

The ALP proposal is a dumb, easy, hot take.
With a slogan, Adult Time For Adult Crime, merch, no consultation and no legislation.

Some cool tee shirts though. Topical

Well it’s true they can’t stop Barnaby farting.

Net Zero is futile.

I think everyone should leak more of the meeting.

Looxury. You should have tried the '60s-'70s (and earlier)

By the Tories’ logic, we should crack down on cancer diagnoses.

In relation to the neo Nazi farkwits protesting in their black uniforms and masks outside NSW Parliament House, I would have ordered a NSW fire truck to come alongside and canon them with a high pressure wash.

Maybe cleanse some of the grime out of them.

But hey, that’s just me….

Why can’t we do both ? Treat the symptoms and the cause.

Very good idea

A bushranger was slaughtered and Gough was betrayed.

A dark day in our history.

The LNP has already suffered losses in suburban areas to Teals and the Labor party in recent elections partly due to its climate stance.

IMO, if they drop Net Zero, they risk of losing even more inner-city and suburban seats where voters generally support climate action. Dropping Net Zero reinforces the perception that the LNP is not serious about climate change or pollution (highlighted as it gets forgotten). I guess they will make up some convoluted policy on climate, cost of living, and energy; but really they have no realistic alternate ideals except to promote even more mining and pollution. Nuclear is nonsense in stilts and they know it, and so do voters. They took this idea to the last election as lost.

IMO, they will become even more irrelevant than they are now.

Shame.
Australia deserves an effective opposition but it seems we are not getting one.
