Yeah me too. My eyes glazed over when dominionism was brought up.
As stacked as our political system is to two parties I like to think we can avoid any isms as the general theme of government.
Maybe “corruptism” or “small mindism” or “crony capitalism”

Diversion cannot be appealed.
It is a good program in the Magistrates Court, and if these people qualified then no reason they should not get it. Usually it is for traffic or property offences, and most who get it are either under 25 or over 65. In my experience it is initiated by the Police, and perpetrators have to plead guilty and show real remorse. Usual for a community service order to be tagged on.

At the time, it was reported that 5 unknown people ( characterised as pro Palestinian) had vandalised his office. So far, only a teenager ( who allegedly had put graffiti on the French Consulate Office) has been identified in the media as charged and named.
But Ms Hale said defence would be seeking a diversion — where young and low-risk offenders avoid a criminal record — but prosecutors had not been able to contact Detective Senior Constable Brian Bevan to see if he supported the action.
“At the moment we’re not agreeable to diversion but happy to look at what the defence have got,” a police prosecutor said.

It would be interesting to see how often you get consecutive days over 40. Personally one day of 40 I wouldn’t even bother turning on the AC especially if you know a cool change is coming. It’s when you get consecutive days of extreme heat that are the killers, especially if the cool change is the temp dropping to high 20’s or low 30’s.

Humidity gets me.
It’s been shocking here the last few days so I’ve been running the A/C at night.
Just so it’s cooler but also dryer to get a nights sleep.
Humid and a night time min in the 20s is horrible enough
41C here today in Bacchus Marsh! Humidity is 22%. Strangely pleasant.

A 17yo boy was charged at the same time as the 18 yo for vandalism and burglary. He had also been involved in the graffiti incident at the French Consulate.
He goes before the Children’s Court.
There have not been any claims of anti-Semitic slogans. The slogans included words to the effect that Zionism is fascism.

The only conservative thought politically that’s being made in Oz right now is by independents/minors.
The LNP wouldn’t know if they are are coming or going. All they are trying to do I assume is highlight any government inadequacies in the hope noone notices theirs.
Ie for all the cracks at Albanese’s ALP government, there is hardly a viable alternative.
No one in their right mind would vote to spend 400 billion dollars of our money (or debt financed by us) to build nuclear power plants would they? Do you think the LNP can realistically green light it?
All it will be is jobs for British conservatives involved in the exactly the same thing that Boris Johnson started. All whilst its BAU for current crony interests
No one genuinely thinks access to superannuation will make a house more affordable for those doing it?
No one really believes the party who first drove big Australia will be anything but in terms of slowing demand(or at least right sizing the policy).
No one thinks either party will actually significantly alter how taxes are paid in this country to reward rather than penalise work?

I will assume that’s largely a rhetorical question posed.
Conservative values I think are well promoted through Duttons policy platform and political ideology. Progressive, or left of centre thinkers I think are well argued by the government and other further left leaning thinkers like The Greens.
Conservative values are only being promoted by the teals(business/corporate), katter(farming/ag and conservative social ideals), nationals.(farming and mining).
The Liberals themselves are lost.

I don’t think conservative values are being displayed by the Teals at all. Katter I agree broadly… The Teals are chipping away at the moderate and more progressive part of the conservative base.
The LNP are actually focussed on targeting middle Australia and the working class, abandoned by Labor. The LNP primary is trending widely towards 40%, Labor’s primary is widely below 30% as they leak to the Greens on their progressive flank and even the LNP in terms of their once core voter. Labor’s vote is under as much pressure as the Libs, likely relying squarely on Greens to form the next government.
