Media should be as politically neutral as possible. Obviously it’s an impossible thing achieve…… but it should be the goal of good media.
Analysing policy, rather than barracking for parties or politicians.

I think bias in media is fine. It’s natural. It’s damn near unavoidable. Because the media is just an outgrowth of us.
If you are doing a straight report on a factory fire - sure that can be just the facts.
Being bad faith, playing defence for a political party, movement or figure when there is a story about them out there, being unable to acknowledge or balance inherent biases by finding an alternate voice (and not just for novelty), deliberate distortions (as opposed to mistakes - though they have be properly addressed) are the problems.

which one actually has a charter of balance ? they all make mistakes , but which media organization actively and openly campaign for a particular side of politics ?
And have the current architect for the conservative side of politics hosting multiple programs.

sky news for example absolutely dedicate themselves to be as anti Labor every single day as much as the possibly can be. it must be so tiring for them to be constantly looking for any and all possible negative angle they can spin . it’s quite incredible actually
