They’ve got good connections in Europe. A female friend of mine still uses them despite being molested by a passenger and the crew not doing anything about it, other than to suggest she get off at Doha and report him to the authorities.
I can’t or won’t risk travelling QATAR with my family but I do welcome the competition to bring down the QANTAS fares. Direct flights to the US on QANTAS are almost double in price for BC than say Cathay (1 stop). It’s crazy how expensive QANTAS has become. And good luck using points !

Like anywhere there are good and bad. Their officials can be way over the top but in 20 plus trips there we have never encountered any issues and the locals are superb. We’ve even decided that a couple of times per year we will take a few short breaks there for a few days such is their hospitality and friendliness

Former Senator Stoker, now a Qld State MP, is being asked on her position, since she was so conservative when she was a Fed Senator.
She hit on Labor for making it an issue during the election campaign, as did the new Premier ( who would be inclined to a conscience vote)
